Margot Morales (she/they) is a multi-award-winning artist, writer, director, and serial collaborator working across theatre and experimental live performance. 

Their ambitious, form-agnostic works are surgically crafted through obsessive de/reconstructions of capitalism’s effects on the body and mind. 

I’ve been up to a few things lately…

• I’ll be directing Eric Jiang’s gorgeous queer play RHOMBOID at fortyfivedownstairs, premiering in October 2026 as part of Melbourne Fringe.

• Currently developing my experimental performance and composition practice with Speak Percussion’s two-year Bespoke program.

• Just finished a wild three-week development with Pan Pan Theatre and APHIDS.

• Announcing another new show for Melbourne Fringe…it’s with Anna Piper Scott and it’s gonna be Huge.

• In lowkey development for UNTITLED SOFTCORE FAUST ADAPTATION with Antipodes Theatre Company (if I ever finish the goddamn draft). It’s a metatheatrical erotic comedy about putting on a metatheatrical erotic comedy. Naturally.
